Parenting is an educational marathon of sorts. You put in hours of effort, learn little-by-little day-by-day, and slowly (but surely) you survive. But if parenting is a marathon, pregnancy is one heck of a crash course. Once you start to get your barrings on trimester number one, you’re on to two, then three, and, before you know it, your partner is breaking out the cigars as you snuggle with your newborn.

Beyond high school sex-ed, there’s really no preparing you for what it means to be pregnant. There are few teachers, and even fewer notes to rely on. Sure, you can Google just about anything and call your mom or doc about this symptom or that, but in truth pregnancy is just a survival mode you and your wee one get to experience together. For many women it means an uncharted adventure; for others, it’s a terrifying journey of the unknown.

If you happen to be in the latter camp and crave a little more traditional learning, check out GrowBaby, a new eLearning tool. You’ll get insights on the best nutrition for you and baby during your second trimester and even get hints into what baby is doing, how he or she is growing, and what you’re likely feeling, too.
