Bisphenol S:  Bisphenol S also known as BPShas become increasingly common as a chemical used to make products more flexible following the widespread bans on the use of BPA due to its hormone disruption properties. In some cases, BPS is used where the legal prohibition on BPA allows products containing BPS to be labelled “BPA free”. Multiple findings confirm that BPS is an endocrine disruptor, making it another bad chemical choice and a product that should be avoided.

BPS was found in 100% of tickets, mailing envelopes, airplane boarding passes, and airplane luggage tags. Very high concentrations of BPS were detected in thermal receipt samples.

Don’t handle unnecessary receipts, simply scan by using your phone or pay online and decrease your exposure
