Fragrance

Fragrance: Sometimes called “parfum,” and found in most smelling cosmetics and cleaning products, even those that are labeled “natural.” Generally, phthalates are added to fragrance to help the scent last longer, and companies are NOT required to disclose the presence of phthalates. See “phthalates” for more info. Essential oils are a safe ingredient that lends a scent to cosmetics, and such products will often be labeled as phthalate free.
