Petrochemicals: Chemicals made from natural gas and (nonrenewable resources), which includes materials such as polyurethane foam and plastics or vinyls (like PVCs), as well as personal care ingredients like paraffin and petrolatum. phenol: Found in laundry detergents as well as lip balms. Phenol vapors are extremely irritating to the eyes, throat, and lungs, and can cause third-degree burns with extended skin exposure.
