At Pure Living, our priority is helping you identify how and where to reduce toxins in your life – whether it’s in the outside environment or inside your home. When thinking of protecting yourself from toxins and harmful chemicals, what we ingest may not immediately come to mind; however, the truth of the matter is that the food we eat also impacts our health in a tremendous way and, in today’s world, most of the options and commonplace items we see in food stores are troubling. Oftentimes we are consuming harmful toxins to our bodies in the form of additives, preservatives, and artificial sweeteners.

In April we’ll be exploring the ways you can commit to healthier eating and healthier habits in the kitchen, whether it’s a new recipe or by recognizing food products and snacks you should be keeping out of your cupboards and pantries (especially when it comes to feeding little ones). As spring marks the beginning of the growing season and the arrival of farmers markets, our hope is that new information and knowledge can empower you to also make this a time of starting fresh and thinking about what you eat in a new way. Ultimately, good health depends on looking at the full picture: the air we breathe, the products we use in our homes and on our skin and bodies, and the food we eat on a regular basis. There’s no better time than right now to start making better choices in the kitchen, no matter how big or small they may be!
