How many of us actually consider the type of plastic we are drinking or eating out of – or offering our offspring? From Starbucks straws to the plastic lining the pack-in-play, plastics are prevalent and determining which ones are best for our health can be tricky.

Luckily, most of what our kiddos ingest is in the safer plastics: 2’s 4’s and 5’s

Regardless of what plastics line your life, avoid exposing any type of plastic to too high or too low temperatures and use mild detergents when washing. And, as always, glass is best – so when you have the option, reach for the ball jar instead.
