The new year requires lots of perseverance, inspiration and, yes, resolutions to raise your child and keep you sane throughout the new year. To keep you on track during the next few months ahead, why not change your thinking and your life with some easy resolutions for the super mom.
This year I resolve to create an easy daily routine I can live with
You may manage to get the kids fed, dressed, and ready for the day without having a great daily routine. But you may find the morning chaos leaves you feeling frazzled and exhausted. Getting yourself and your kids into an easy daily routine can simplify your life. Not only that, but it can cut down on arguments and stress, leaving you feeling better about yourself. An easy daily routine that any busy mom can do in the morning includes: making your bed, wiping down the bathroom, and taking something out for dinner. Evening: get everyone’s outfits together, give the kids a bath, and clean the kitchen before bedtime. To-do lists make it easy for you to check-off tasks and help you track your progress.
This year I resolve to get fit and healthy the easy way
Last year you tried the membership to the gym or maybe purchased a piece of exercise equipment to help jump start the year in a healthy way. Of course, you would love to have time for going to the gym or getting in a great workout at home. You want this year to be different, right? Resolve to start doing mini-workouts! Try to fit in a mini-workouts such as dancing with the kids, lifting gallons of milk, or walking after dinner. Even doing a light fifteen-minute workout a few times a week can help you get in shape and stay healthy. You don’t have to make exercise a chore. Just schedule in some type of exercise into your daily routine and keep it simple.
Tell a friend or family member your resolution to help you stick to your routine. Distance is no longer an excuse as you can facetime use hangouts or skype. Have you considered a free or inexpensive exercise application on your ipad, phone or tv ? Teach the kids to get in the habit and move with you. Some of the music based routines are addictive… in a good way of course.
This year I resolve to stop over-scheduling
You take your kids to soccer, dance, gymnastics, and juggle all the responsibilities that you have at your job. Anyone with those responsibilities would feel cranky and stressed. At the end of the day, although you worked hard all day, you may feel unaccomplished. The house still needs cleaning, yet you have not had a minute to relax. Dinner came out of a paper bag, and your kids barely had time to tell you about their day. Take this year to commit to spending more time with your family and say no to over-scheduling. Did you know that saying no can help your physical as well as mental health ? Think about taking turns making dinner, and schedule at least one night per week for family time.
We at Pure Living wish you and your family a healthy, prosperous and happy New Year. To the best year yet, 2017.
